Sing It! – Fan Art

Wow! Sing it Chuck!

This tuneful (or should that be toonful) piece of fan art was sent in by Ten year old Elija K., from Andover, Massachusetts. I just love expression that you managed to capture on Chuck’s face Elija-especially when somebody is rapping out of tune! Keep up the good work!

Thanks Elija! And I’ve got a whole mess of fan art coming! And keep sending them in!

Sketching The Fun-tastic Four

Last Saturday was Free Comic Book Day. And it was by far, the best, Free Comic Book Day event that I’ve been a part of.

I spent the day at Newbury Comics, in Newton, Massachusetts, signing comic book, t-shirts, and drawing original sketch trading cards for folks that stopped by. It was seriously a great time, and I had a blast with everybody at the Newbury Comics, and getting to hang with like-minded comic fans.

Here’s one of my favorite sketch cards that I drew that day featuring Chuck, Succotash, and Grace as three members of one of your favorite superhero team!

And The TARDIS Is Delicious…

Last Sunday was my birthday.

And it was by far one of the best.

My wife and I both wound up working a show in Dedham, Massachusetts, where she was performing, and I was sitting behind my artists vending table, wearing massively stunning fez, selling Peanizles t-shirts, comic books, and original art. When my wife surprised me with a birthday cake. Now, this wasn’t just any old birthday cake. No. It was a red-velvet, chocolate ganache, with butter-cream frosting cake, that most importantly looked like the TARDIS.

The cake was simply amazing–delicious, too.

It was such a a great replica of the Doctor’s TARDIS, complete with the “Police Box” logo on the top on all for sides, three dimensional paneling all the way around, and a little personal “Happy Birthday Don” on the front plaque. It was super-awesome.

If you are looking to have any custom cakes made, please check out Sarah’s Novelty Cakes. Now, I’m off to have one more bite of the TARDIS.

The Return Of The Jedi-ish…

The Story So Far…

Today we get to see the third, and final installment of the fantastic fan-art trilogy from in by Abhay, from Andover, Massachusetts. In this episode, we see the Peanizles gang transformed into respective Star Wars characters! For the finale, we get a vision of Succotash dressed as Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi, or more correctly, the incredible Tashi-Wan Succobe, brandishing his light saber and fabulous facebook jersey! In the back, just coming over the horizon, two familiar Droids approach, as R2-D2 and Chuck in his alter-ego as C3-PO, or as Abhay calls him Chuck-PO.

Thanks so much for all the hard work and amazing drawings, Abhay!

And keep the artwork coming!!!
