As of today Peanizles has been online for the past year. That’s 160 comics. That’s a whole lot of Chuck and the gang coming at you three times a week, and that’s just the beginning.
Now, as many of you might know, Peanizles, first appeared in print form almost ten years ago in the music magazine Skope. It was always located somewhere towards the front of the magazine, on the bottom of the page, staring at you in bold, four color CMYK. And it was a hit with the publisher, the staff and readership alike. Now, as much as I enjoyed seeing that magazine in my mailbox every other month, and on the sitting there on the stands at your local book store or magazine shop, I get just a big of a thrill seeing it pop up on my browser. There’s a lot more Peanizles to come, and if you want to check out Chuck, Grace, Succotash, J.R., Mingus and the gang from the beginning just start here.
Here’s another great piece of fan art, featuring Chuck B in science class with his new friend. This amazing piece was sent in by nine year old mega fan, Nick Milliken, from North Andover, Massachusetts. Keep the great art coming gang!
This great piece if fanart was created by eight year old Peanizles superfan Xavier Vargas from Methuen, Massachusetts. He created his own version of Chuck and Succotash has a special Director’s cut ending that he added. Thanks, Xavier!
Today I decided to dig through the Peanizles vast archive and dust off an old Peanizles comic from 1984! It’s pretty funny to look at the comic from way back thirty years ago and to see how much the characters have changed, from style of clothes and even some of the catch phrases from the time, and yet you can see how much they have remained the same over the years. I promise to dust off more Peanizles classics in the future for those fans out there who haven’t had an opportunity to see what the comic was like all those many years ago.
